Areas of Research

Clinical trials testing

Clinical trials at the Curtin Medical Research Institute focus on translating scientific discoveries into treatments for complex diseases. The PIA study investigates whether probucol can slow the progression of Alzheimer’s disease by targeting harmful fat-related pathways, while the MMENDS study explores new ways to reduce pain in endometriosis by addressing microvascular dysfunction. Together, these studies reflect a strong emphasis on innovative, patient-centred research.
